LED, a solid-state semiconductor device that converts electrical energy into visible Light, is the Emitting Diode that converts electricity directly into Light. LED = Large ELectronic Display; LED = Lupus erythematosus merits.
Leds have many USES, such as the relationship between the visible spectrum and LED white light. As is known to all, the wavelength range of visible light spectrum is 380nm ~ 760nm, which is the seven-color light that the human eye can feel -- red, orange, yellow, green, green, blue and purple, but each of these seven colors is a monochromatic light. For example, the peak wavelength of red light emitted by leds is 565nm. There is no white light in the spectrum of visible light, because white light is not a monochromatic light, but a composite light synthesized by a variety of monochromatic light, just as the sunlight is a white light synthesized by seven monochromatic light, and the white light in color television is also composed of three primary colors: red, green and blue. Thus, in order for an LED to emit white light, its spectral characteristics should include the entire visible spectral range. However, it is impossible to manufacture leds with this kind of performance under the current technological conditions. According to the study of visible light, the white light that the human eye can see requires at least a mixture of two wavelengths (blue + yellow) and three wavelengths (blue + green + red). White light in both modes requires blue light, so blue light has become the key technology to produce white light, namely "blue light technology" pursued by major LED manufacturers. At present, only a few manufacturers in the world have mastered the "blue light technology", so the promotion and application of white LED, especially the promotion of high-brightness white LED in China still has a process. Therefore, LED enterprises should strengthen the cultivation of professional and technical personnel, establish a high-level and stable research and development team, and continuously improve China's scientific research and innovation ability.
Innovation difficulty and development bottleneck appear
China started late in the LED industry, and only a few manufacturers are engaged in the upstream LED production. According to statistics, at present, the supply of LED chips in China only accounts for 8% of the global demand, and in the mainland LED market, domestic chips only account for 52% of the demand. Although the LED industry in mainland China has developed rapidly in recent years and the innovation ability of enterprises has been outstanding, the difficulty of innovation and the bottleneck of development have gradually emerged.
The bottleneck and difficulty of LED enterprises in product and technology innovation and industrialization are patent, talent and cost. The specific performance is:
First, the mainland LED patent application is less, and start late. To obtain core patents, long-term and high-level research achievements are still needed. With the rapid development of domestic LED industry, it has become a medium and long term goal to occupy the commanding heights of the international market. Therefore, LED epitaxial and chip patent issues are particularly prominent, which have become the first problem to be solved in the development process of LED enterprises.
Second, the shortage of professional and technical personnel is still a common problem faced by LED enterprises. Third, LED epitaxy and chip manufacturing equipment and main raw materials are difficult to localize. At present, in the above demand is still dependent on imports, as the LED industry towards the ultimate goal of universalization, reducing costs has become a problem that enterprises must face in production.
Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the training of professional and technical personnel, establish a high-level and stable research and development team, and constantly improve China's scientific research and innovation ability. Through independent innovation to form part of the core patented technology, conquer the country's urgent need for the industrialization of key technologies, establish a sound system of technological innovation and characteristics of industrial clusters, China has the international competitiveness of semiconductor energy saving emerging industries.
Preferential policies should be introduced
At present, China's semiconductor lighting industry has a certain emphasis on supporting policies, supporting strength and talent training, but in general, there is a big gap with other pillar industries. As for the innovation environment, the most urgent problem is still the talent problem. China's LED industry started late, and there is a shortage of its own professional and technical personnel. Domestic enterprises need to accelerate the improvement of their innovation ability in the development process, so they must introduce professional and technical personnel from abroad or Taiwan at a high salary, which will undoubtedly increase the manufacturing cost of developing industries. Industry insiders believe that the country in the introduction of LED manpower to introduce some conducive to enterprise innovation and development of preferential policies, at the same time to increase the domestic talent training and output.
